As a trusted data backbone, the Connected Data Platform is a critical component (for the whole lifecycle of an asset) that is necessary to build collaboration environments involving, for instance, engineering design systems, asset management, BIM, field data collection, 3D visualisation, GIS, and workflow.
Our Connected Data Platform is foundational to the emerging world of Digital Twins as each Digital Twin needs a trusted data backbone to be able to even get off the ground.
As the foundational component for multiple business functions, the Connected Data Platform is open and works on the principle of easy in / easy out, providing easy integration using a range of intelligent REST API and messaging techniques.
Due to the significant ongoing success of the business, we are looking to recruit a number of Technical Consultants with experience in relevant sectors and who have had involvement in asset information and software or data integration projects. These consultants will help evangelise, demonstrate, and articulate the Datum360 Connected Data Platform value to engineering service providers, contractors, owner operators and equipment vendors. Industry sector and sales environment experience, preferably from an operations or engineering background, are important.

About the role
As a Technical Consultant, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be involved in every stage of the client engagement, supporting sales staff in a pre-sales capacity, preparing technical solutions and delivery plans that achieve the client's desired outcomes. As a key member of the global team, you will be called on for your experience and opinion to assist in the growth of the business, alongside delivery of individual customer successes.
You will focus most of your time on the evangelising, design, and delivery of the Connected Data Platform, which includes:
Working alongside our fast-moving sales team providing industry knowledge and support to our clients
Engaging with clients at all levels in their organisation and building on current relationships
Assisting clients to mitigate risk and improve their efficiency
About you
You will be an experienced Solution Engineer/Consultant who will have a set of skills, characteristics, and experience across a range of the key requirements below:
Be passionate about delivering the best customer experience and solutions
Have demonstrable experience in any of the process, energy, mining, utilities, and infrastructure sectors
Show a good understanding of the data topic alongside a sound insight into Information Management challenges in these sectors.
Experience of software development, particularly integration patterns and use of REST APIs
A background in operations or engineering, with a working knowledge of asset information management
A team player and able to work autonomously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that would be described as accurate and friendly, but direct and persuasive
Highly organised with attention to detail
A willingness to travel - working locally, interstate, and internationally
