Full Time

Datum360 is a market leader in the delivery of SaaS for Engineering Information and Asset Management systems to the global AEC sectors.

The Datum360 Connected Data Platform is recognised as one of the most comprehensive, open and configurable trusted data backbones for the management of engineering information; a trusted place to get to the truth about engineered assets quickly, securely and efficiently. We provide our Connected Data Platform to the process, energy, mining, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

As a trusted data backbone, the Connected Data Platform is a critical component (for the whole lifecycle of an asset) that is necessary to build collaboration environments involving, for instance, engineering design systems, asset management, BIM, field data collection, 3D visualisation, GIS and workflow.

Our Connected Data Platform is foundational to the emerging world of Digital Twins as each Digital Twin needs a trusted data backbone to be able to get off the ground.

As the foundational component for multiple business functions, the Connected Data Platform is open and works on the principal of easy in / easy out, providing easy integration using a range of REST APIs and messaging protocols.

Due to the significant success of the business, we are looking to recruit a full-stack JavaScript developer with 3-5 years’ working on the front-end who would relish making a difference within a team orientated environment.

About The Role

You will be working with our existing development team and wider Datum360 team and community on:

  • A mixture of our existing platform and greenfield projects
  • Improving the way we build, deploy, and manage our platform
  • Moving our existing platform to Serverless
  • Improving and influencing our processes as we grow the team
  • Having flexible working conditions, we expect “hybrid” to become the norm
  • Having a voice that will be heard within the team and company
  • Enjoying a relaxed, fun, and sociable environment

About You

  • Experience (3-5 years) of working with Node.js in production. Similar experience with other languages is a bonus
  • Strong experience using cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc…) in production – particularly using Serverless technologies and migrating software to Serverless
  • Experience with TypeScript (We’re moving away from CoffeeScript, so any experience here would be beneficial)
  • Experience with databases of all kinds and how to use them at scale (particularly MongoDB Atlas)
  • Strong views and opinions on how to design, build, and deploy your code – and the ability to communicate them effectively
  • desire to solve problems, and find a route to a solution
