Are you ready for CFIHOS?
The Datum360 team has a long heritage of working with open standards such as ISO 15926, POSC/Caesar, ISO 55000, ISO 14224, BIM etc and we are now working at the heart of the emerging standard for an industry wide Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification (CFIHOS – pronounced ‘see-fos’) being driven by USPI-NL and a group of owner operators, engineering contractors and software vendors.
This standardisation project, started by the owner operator community, is set to deliver a consistent and explicit specification for engineering information required for operations across the process and related infrastructure industries. CFIHOS will be a major step forward to enable the supply chain for the owner operator to know and understand what deliverables they must be providing to the owner operator up to the point of project (or any modifications) handover, ideally in a progressive, measured and scheduled way.
The evolution of this standard, currently at version 1.3, is being moved forward by a committed team of experts and ultimately is expected to be rolled forward into ISO 15926.
The next face to face meeting will be 9th - 11th April in Paris. We hope to see you there. For further information on or insight to this emerging standard and how it can be used in practice for you and your company then please contact us directly or send a mail firstname.lastname@example.org
